Sampson puts aside running career to help with COVID


Little Chute’s Luke Sampson saw his running career at the University of Iowa cut short by the coronavirus pandemic last spring, but has since moved on to use his degree in public health and epidemiology to accomplish his life-long goal of helping others.

The sports world has been turned upside down, across all levels, since the COVID-19 pandemic hit and games were shut down in March.

High school, collegiate and professional athletes have had to try and grapple with the idea that seasons, or in some cases careers, may be over.
