The Kaukauna Orange 18U squad went 2-1 last week, moving its summer season record to 5-3 with wins over Neenah and Oshkosh Blue before a loss to Pulaski Black on Friday.

Versus Pulaski Black

The week didn’t end as well as it started, as Kaukauna’s offense went cold in a 9-1 road loss at Pulaski.

Hietpas allowed eight runs on nine hits and Kaukauna collected just three hits themselves at the plate.

At Oshkosh Blue

Clutch offense late was the difference for Kaukauna in Oshkosh on Tuesday night. The game was tied 1-1 heading into extras until the 10th inning when Kaukauna scored five times to earn the 6-1 win.

Pike had three hits, including a double, while Skenandore had two hits and drove in three. Steineke had a hit and an RBI and Zander Hietpas added a hit and walked twice.

Hietpas also came on in relief of Skenandore and threw three shutout innings to earn the win. Skenandore went 6 2/3 in his start and gave up just one unearned run on three hits with eight strikeouts.

Versus Neenah

The week started off with a bang, as an eight-run fourth inning put an insurmountable gap between the two teams and Kaukauna rolled to a 10-0 home victory.

Kolbe Pike started and allowed just three hits with seven strikeouts in the shutout win.

Carver Kappell had a hit, a walk and two RBIs for Kaukauna, while Pike also drove in two and Jordan Skenandore and Carter Steineke each added hits.

The final game of Kaukauna’s summer season came last night at home against FVL.
