Ivan Stiltjes

Ivan Stiltjes - Little Chute - Age 90, passed away on Dec. 29, 2021. He was born on March 15, 1931, son of the late John and Maila (Carpenter) Stiltjes. Ivan proudly served our country in Korea as a member of the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. He was then a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #258 in Little Chute. Ivan married Virginia Vander Wyst on Feb. 9, 1952, in Fort Knox, Ky. He worked at Appleton Papers until his retirement in May of 1990. Ivan loved to just get in his car and drive. He enjoyed fixing up old cars; they were his true passion. Ivan is survived by his loving wife: Virginia; children: Cindy (Mike) Van Beek, Linda Somers, Dennis Stiltjes, Gary (Michelle) Stiltjes, Deb (George) Schmidt, Joy (Andy) Van Toll, Bruce (Mary) Stiltjes and Jeff (Peggy) Stiltjes; grandchildren: Laura (Marshall) Brooks, Kevin Somers, Denise (Matt) Somers, Mitchell Stiltjes, Riley (Miranda) Stiltjes, Matt (Laura) Stiltjes, Eric (Elaine) Stiltjes, Allison (friend, Tanner) Van Toll, Justin Schmidt, Evan (Falena) Schmidt, Ebanie (friend, Robert) Schmidt and Robin Stiltjes; great grandchildren: Conner Stiles, Olivia Fisher, Aidan Somers, Kaylee Somers, Bode Riesterer and Ruby Stiltjes; siblings: Clarence (Jackie) Stiltjes, George Stiltjes and Sara Gauger; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents: John and Maila Stiltjes; a son: Michael (Pam) Stiltjes; father and mother-in-law: Harry and Hattie Vander Wyst; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bob Gauger, Gorden (Emily) Vander Wyst, Ann Stiltjes, Ruth (Paul) Waldion, Jean (Ted) Feldkamp and Rose Marie (Hank) Kuhn.
