"Bob"

Robert Louis Mischler - “Bob" - Age 90, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022. Bob was born on Jan. 29, 1931, to Louis and Irene (Spice) Mischler. On Feb. 12, 1952, he married the love of his life, Irene Schwabenlender. Bob graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1948 and later worked 35 years for Badger Northland, retiring in 1990 as an industrial engineer. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army from June 1952 to March 1954, spending more than a year of that time in Korea. Bob enjoyed woodworking, golfing (two holes in one and 20+ winter golf trips to Mississippi), and hunting in the north woods, (last buck shot when he was 86 years old). He enjoyed his cabin up north and made many great memories there with his family and friends. Bob is survived by his children; Bob (Donna) Mischler, Pat (Keith) Piepenburg, Sue (Cy) Mader, Tom (Allison) Mischler, Tim (Tricia) Mischler, Debbie (Mark) Mitchell, and Dave (special friend Patti Stenson) Mischler; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a special little buddy: Marisa; siblings: Ron Mischler, Carol Thiele, Marilyn (Don) Kavanaugh, and Louie (Ellen) Mischler; a step brother: Paul Reichel; sisters-in-law: Betty Mischler and Joyce (Phil) Bruecker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially Bernie and Nancy Vander Steen. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, grandsons: Steve Mader and Samuel Mischler; siblings: Helen (Joe) Coppus, Erv Mischler, Ben Mischler, Peter Mischler and in-laws: Dolores Mischler, Roger Thiele, and Catherine Reichel. Bob's family would like to thank Azura Memory Care of Oshkosh and Generations Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to dad during his last month. The funeral liturgy for Bob will be held on Wednesday June 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna.
