Kathleen Haen

Kathleen Haen - Age 82, slipped away on Feb. 7, 2023, gently and peacefully, indicative of the type of person she was. Kathy was born on March 15, 1940, in Neenah to the late Gordon and Velva Schleicher. After graduating from Neenah High School, Kathy went on to marry Daniel Haen on Aug. 24, 1963, and moved to Kaukauna. She was a wife, mom, homemaker and an exceptional creator of potato salad. She loved dancing, one-on-one conversations and everything to do with Elvis. Kathy struggled with schizophrenia and did not have the easiest time, but once properly managed, Kathy’s beautiful true self was so apparent. She was unassuming, gentle, modest, and sweet. Kathy was a staff favorite at Care Partners in Winneconne, where she spent her last 5½ years, often smiling and giggling and grateful for the simplest gestures. Kathy is survived by her three loving sons: Ken (Melanie), Gary (Becky) and Greg Haen, as well as four grandchildren: Dexter, Zach, Garrett, and Ashley Haen, and two great granddaughters. Per Kathy’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A small, private gathering for family and close friends will take place at a later date.
