A once-in-a-lifetime fire call drew some 70 firefighting units from as far as Wood and Sheboygan counties when the Combined Locks Fire Department requested help to extinguish the fire at Warehouse Specialists Inc. on July 8.

A major step forward in updating parks was taken during 2022 by the Town of Buchanan Board of Supervisors when they established a parks committee to update the 2018 park plan and recommend improvements to Springfield, Town Hall and Hickory parks.

The Buchanan Town Board approved three resolutions pertaining to property assessments for projects within the town at last week’s meeting.

Little Chute area residents will have a new feature to enjoy, likely by some time in 2024.

While the decision to approve the siting was not unanimous, a majority of trustees approved a recommendation to locate the village splash pad at Van Lieshout Park.
