Kimberly approves budget, tax levy, lower mill rate

The Kimberly Village Board last week approved a 2022 budget of $9,943,775 with a tax levy at $3,683,000 and a mill rate of $6.59.
The net effect on an average homeowner will be a payment of $17.02 or 1.7 percent less in village taxes this year than last year.

Kaukauna looks at spring time frame for East Ann and Highway 55 traffic study


Brian Roebke photo/The City of Kaukauna wants to do another traffic study for the intersection of Crooks Avenue and East Ann Street that leads into StoneRidge Piggly Wiggly and Walgreen’s. It can be difficult crossing traffic at busy times during the day.
Some robins returning to Kaukauna in spring may be carrying a clipboard and a clicker. That’s because the next available window for a complete traffic count for the East Ann Street and Crooks Avenue intersection begins in March, just as the robins are back for a new spring in our area.

Little Chute Legion Post caps off Veterans Day with social

Post 258 American Legion of Little Chute capped off a busy Veterans Day on Thursday with the annual Fundraising Raffle Drawing & Lunch. Keith Scott of Winneconne was the $10,000 winner.
The day began by placing street flags on Main Street, followed by a memorial Mass at St. John Church.
