Buchanan Stormwater Utility approves pond grant amendment

The Buchanan Stormwater Utility approved a pond grant amendment for the reduced treatment for a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources urban nonpoint grant at last week’s meeting.
They also discussed consultant agreements and project plans to be submitted to WDNR for grant approval, but no action was taken.

Village of Kimberly adjusts ward boundaries

Adding the Kimberly High School to the village property precipitated the addition of a ninth ward to the village, realigning portions of former Wards 7 and 8. The new ward map was approved last week.

Little Chute Village Board approves new fireworks effort and new bike trail

A relatively brief agenda for the Little Chute Village Board Oct. 6 did not mean sparing the amount of discussion about the agenda topics.  
Trustees spent shorter amounts of time on a new July 4th fireworks event that was recently proposed to them. They also narrowly approved a new bicycle trail at Heesakker Park.

Town of Holland approves cost share for road repair

The Holland Town Board agreed to a cost share agreement with the town’s sanitary district and contractor for sewer work being done in Hollandtown for a layer of asphalt on Holland Road in front of the sewage treatment plant. The distance of the repair is 1,600 ft.

KCHA reluctantly dissolving after 66 years of service to community

All good things eventually come to an end, and that’s where the Kaukauna Community Health Associates are right now.
After 66 years of service to the Kaukauna community, the group recently decided to close out the organization because of a lack of members able to keep the association going.

Sherwood Village Board to revisit park impact fee implementation

At the request of the Sherwood Parks and Urban Tree (PRUT) Board, the park impact fee will get a second look in October. That process will include a public hearing at the village board’s Monday, Oct. 25 meeting.
