The COVID-19 pandemic has had a terrible impact: it’s killed nearly a million and a half people worldwide, and more than a quarter million in the United States.

Gov. Tony Evers, along with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, announced that restaurants and other targeted small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic will receive $45 million in assistance, bringing the total assistance distributed to Wisconsin businesses this year to more than $220 million.

Highway departments from Brown and Calumet counties appear to be on the way to approving a speed limit decrease on Highway D where it crosses Man Cal Road, which is the county border.
