The City of Kaukauna held a ribbon cutting for the CE trail extension and Haas Road pedestrian accommodations on Sept. 29.

Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson said this project is one of the first constituent cases he had as a state legislator 13 years ago.

Two-year Highway CE reconstruction project nearly complete

When Highway CE was built, it was a country road leading from Downtown Appleton to Hollandtown, serving the south sides of Kimberly, Combined Locks and Kaukauna.

Now it’s turned into an incredibly busy urban highway carrying thousands of vehicles along that route every day.

PSC extends COVID-19 utility disconnection moratorium to Nov. 1

Kaukauna treasurer responsibilities given to director of finance

Kaukauna voters told city officials in a referendum last fall by a 59-41 percent margin they wanted to split the positions of clerk and treasurer.

Susan J. Duda was clerk/treasurer beginning in 1988 until her 2018 retirement that led to the election of Sally Kenney as clerk/treasurer that year.

Gov. Tony Evers has declared a new public health emergency in Wisconsin due to recent surge in cases among young people and issued a new face coverings order effective immediately. Both orders are effective immediately and will expire after 60 days or with a subsequent superseding order.

Elizabeth, Matthew Wagner victims of shooting in Little Chute

The identity of the two people found dead on Sept. 21 in Little Chute have been identified as Elizabeth Wagner, 24 and Matthew Wagner, 25 of Little Chute.
