Following a closed session during last week’s meeting, the Buchanan Town Board authorized the Public Professional Administration to hire an individual on a temporary basis to develop the 2021 budget for the town.

Officers with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department responded to an address in the 900 block of W. Elm Drive in the Village of Little Chute for a welfare check on Monday around 8:30 a.m. and located two deceased adults in the residence.

The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 2:38 a.m. for the report of a male with a gunshot wound to his abdomen after being shot while inside his vehicle in the parking lot of the gentlemen's club.

Northland Avenue (Highway OO), west of Ballard Road (Highway E), will be closed for approximately two weeks beginning Sept. 21. The closure is for approximately 500 ft. on the west side of the intersection.

Ballard Road and the east side of the Northland Avenue at the intersection are still open.

Jeff Feldt, general manager of Kaukauna Utilities, informed the Kaukauna Utilities Commission of his intention to retire on Jan. 3, 2022 at last week’s meeting.

Per his employment agreement, he is required to provide a minimum of one year’s notice of his retirement date.
