St. Paul Elder Services sees COVID-19 outbreak in nursing home


The Wisconsin National Guard was onsite at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna on Monday to perform all staff testing.

There was heartbreak last week when despite taking many, many precautions, there was an outbreak of COVID-19 at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna.

Outagamie County Highway Department crews have fully reopened the Highway CE and Loderbauer Road/Hillcrest Drive intersection to traffic. This includes restoring traffic signal operation at the intersection.

Little Chute closes village hall due to positive COVID-19 case

 The Village of Little Chute was made aware of a positive case of COVID-19 at the village hall Thursday morning from one of its staff members. Out of an abundance of caution for their staff and public, they immediately closed the village hall and transitioned its staff to work from home to continue operations.

Renters quick actions help keep fire spread contained

The Kaukauna Fire Department responded Friday afternoon for a fire reported to be on the exterior wall of the home at 409 E. 20th St. All occupants left the structure when a neighbor notified them of the fire.

Unison Credit Union withdraws application to merge with Shipbuilders Credit Union

After many meetings and much due diligence, Unison Credit Union’s board of directors has withdrawn its application for the proposed merger with Shipbuilders Credit Union of Manitowoc. The decision to withdraw the merger application was due to regulatory difficulties and concern over the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Outagamie County Public Health data shows no significant change in COVID-19 cases

According to a report for schools issued on Aug. 21 by the Outagamie County Public Health Department, there was no significant change in the number of new positive cases over the past 30 days.
