Kaukauna school tax to increase one cent per $1,000 in value

The Kaukauna Area School District is poised to increase its mill rate one cent from last year if they approved the 2023-2024 budget presentation given last week to the board of education.
The projected $6.02 mill rate for 2023 compares to $6.01 last year.

Little Chute Elementary School evacuates to 5-12 building after gas leak

There was a bit of commotion last week when a gas leak was detected at Madison and McKinley streets in Little Chute after a construction crew allegedly hit a gas line. Residents were notified of evacuations taking place on the west side of Madison and Jefferson Street.
