The Kimberly Area School District presented its board of education with the official September, third-Friday enrollment report at its regular meeting last Monday.

Enrollments have been declining across the district in recent years, but the numbers for 2020-21 have declined more significantly than in past years.

The Kaukauna Area School District has unveiled a dashboard of information related to its Stronger Together Re-opening plan.

The good news is “the trajectory has slowed,” Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter told the board of education at its Oct. 12 meeting.

Dex, a downy-soft Labradoodle, began working at the Little Chute Middle, Intermediate and High Schools last week, the day after the Little Chute School Board approved a policy governing therapy dogs in schools.

Since Kaukauna students went back to school on Sept. 1, most of them have stayed in school during the coronavirus pandemic. Keeping most of them in school requires the cooperation of people in the community.

Financial Officer Bob Schafer told the Kaukauna Area School District’s Board of Education last week via remote connection it appears state funding for education will remain as is for the current budget, giving Kaukauna relief they won’t need to make any budget changes for the current year.

The Little Chute School District has sent students and staff home with COVID-19 symptoms, but none have originated from other students or staff, Superintendent David Botz told the school board at recent meeting.
