Things didn’t look good midway through the second half for the Kaukauna’s boys basketball team on Jan. 30.
After Kaukauna lead by a point at halftime, the Polar Bears went on a run early in the second half and opened a 12-point lead with 11 minutes left in regulation.

Kimberly basketball alum and current UW-River Falls basketball player Katelyn Karch has aimed at improving her leadership skills since her college basketball career began. The senior recently came back from injury and has played in 15 games this season for the Falcons.

Second half runs doomed the Little Chute Mustangs boys basketball team last week. Roncalli used a 7-0 run to hand the Mustangs a loss in the EWC/NEC challenge, while the Freedom Irish used a 21-7 second half run to hand Little Chute their fourth conference loss of the season.

The Kimberly girls wrestling team made their mark on the first ever conference championship meet on the girls side. The team scored 69 points with two first place finishers, and were just eight points away from second place finisher Appleton West.
