The Kimberly Girls Soccer team is once again headed to state as they are headed to state for the third year in a row. The Papermakers accomplished the feat after shut out wins over Appleton North and Wausau West last week.
Kaukauna baseball is headed to state for the first time in 72 years after jumping on both Kimberly and Bay Port in the first innings of their sectional games last week.
APPLETON - It went as expected for Nate Laabs and his Kaukauna girls soccer team during their loss to Appleton West last week in the first round of the WIAA playoffs. The Galloping Ghosts ended their season with a 1-0 loss on the road in a match they knew was going to be close.
Vada Sousek had a big regional week for the Kimberly Papermakers girls soccer team as she had five of their goals including a hat trick in their win over Hortonville, while Ashlyn Krueger also had a hat trick against the Polar Bears last week.
The Little Chute Mustangs baseball team got dominant pitching from Jaden Hermsen and Reece Joten as they punched their ticket to the sectional round for the second year in a row with wins over conference foes Luxemburg-Casco and Denmark last week.
The Kimberly Papermakers showed their home run pop last week as they hit seven home runs in their sectional games including five in their 9-8 loss in the sectional final to Appleton North at Kaukauna.
