Kaukauna girls win Red Hawk challenge, while boys finish second

The Kaukauna girls track team earned another win this week as they won the Red Hawk Challenge in Ripon. The girls finished with 119.25 points, which was seven points ahead of Kimberly.

Upperclassmen lead the way for Kaukauna girls track and field

Ava Hammen and Savanna Robinson were key upperclassmen leaders for the Kaukauna track and field team last week at a meet at Ripon College. Hammen took second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8:18, while Robinson ran a second place time of 9.94 in the 60 meter hurdles.

Kimberly alum EJ Kruse has provided both a spark and leadership during his time on the UW-Milwaukee track and field team. The fourth year track runner has become a vocal leader along with providing mentorship toward underclassmen such as Jack Statz and Ethan Criter.

In his third year at the helm, Kimberly softball coach Chad Mix still thinks his team is in good shape this year despite losing seven players to graduation. The Papermakers return two key players in the infield this year, but will look for some players in the pitching staff.
