APPLETON – Kimberly’s Andrew Ostermann provided some game- winning heroics for the Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team last weekend. In a 5-4 overtime win over the Kenosha Thunder, Ostermann scored the game-winning goal with two seconds left.

Virginia commit Liam Crook cemented his name into Kaukauna wrestling history at Saturday’s WIAA sectional at Green Bay Preble. Crook surpassed Robert Lee in program wins by getting his 187th win during the sectional.

Kimberly’s Ava Van Vonderen had a dominant week last week for the Papermakers girls basketball team. The junior posted two double-doubles last week as the Papermakers grabbed conference wins against Appleton North and Appleton West before taking a loss to Arrowhead on the road.

APPLETON — Kimberly wrestling coach Jordan Weinzetl was happy with his program’s finishes at the Fox Valley Association conference tournament last weekend at Appleton North. The girls finished second behind Neenah with 174 points, while the boys took fourth with 122.5 points.
