The Harrison Village Board amended the streets and roads special assessment policy to better reflect how road projects are completed at last week’s meeting.
Utility customers like to complain about their rates and Kaukauna Utilities water customers will probably not be too thrilled with the 33.48 percent increase they are asking the Public Service Commission for, but they have to realize they’ve been getting a break for years.

The Little Chute Dance Team earned two more state championships, in Division 3 kick and Division 5 pom at Satruday’s Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches State meet at La Crosse. The titles are the 20th and 21st in school history as Coach Beth DeBruin marked her 20th season as coach. This is the 13th consecutive season the team won at least one state title.
Fueled by the currently high cost of eggs along with parallel rising costs of poultry cuts, the issue of keeping chickens in urban settings like Little Chute was on the Feb. 1 agenda for discussion.
