Kaukauna man shot in Harrison altercation

 A 40-year old Kaukauna man was shot in the parking lot of Blu Sapphires Cabaret in Harrison early Sunday morning.

The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 2:38 a.m. for the report of a male with a gunshot wound to his abdomen after being shot while inside his vehicle in the parking lot of the gentlemen's club.

Highway OO closed east of Little Chute

Northland Avenue (Highway OO), west of Ballard Road (Highway E), will be closed for approximately two weeks beginning Sept. 21. The closure is for approximately 500 ft. on the west side of the intersection.

Ballard Road and the east side of the Northland Avenue at the intersection are still open.

Feldt announces intention to retire in early 2022


Jeff Feldt

Jeff Feldt, general manager of Kaukauna Utilities, informed the Kaukauna Utilities Commission of his intention to retire on Jan. 3, 2022 at last week’s meeting.

Per his employment agreement, he is required to provide a minimum of one year’s notice of his retirement date.

Highway 96 construction finishes in Kaukauna

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region office completed all major construction on the Highway 96 urban reconstruction project in the city of Kaukauna. Crews reopened the highway between Lawe Street and Claribel Street on Aug. 31 after closing for construction on April 6.
