The masking in school is a very difficult issue. People are dug in on both sides of the issue and understandably passionate about it.
My feeling is outside of school, if you’re vaccinated you should be able to go without a mask. After all, that’s what the vaccination is for.

Some good did come out of 2020

The year 2020 was without a doubt one of the better years America’s had during its 44-year history. Life changed for everyone, with orders given by most governors to stay at home, close schools, close non-essential businesses, and prohibit shaking hands and hugging.

Opinion: It is no longer the duty of media in a democracy to inform citizens; it is now the duty of citizens in a democracy to inform themselves

The media has failed to fulfill its constitutional purpose.

Freedom of speech and freedom of the press was the basis for the first amendment. In early America, the job of the media was to better educate citizens so that those citizens would be able to accomplish their most important duty in America’s burgeoning democracy: to vote.

From the Editor: I am proud of the Kaukauna football team

Kaukauna’s football season ended unfortunately last week when the team had to forfeit its WIAA playoff game due to the coronavirus pandemic.
