Kimberly wrestling loses final two matches, drops dual versus Hortonville

The Kimberly wrestling team took a 31-27 lead into the final two matches of Thursday night’s dual against Fox Valley Association rival Hortonville, but two wins by the Polar Bears at 120 and 126 pounds propelled them to a five-point conference victory.

Kimberly girls regain hold on FVA with win at East

The Kimberly girls’ home loss to Neenah on Jan. 4 is beginning to feel more like an aberration as last week, the Makers responded with a road win at fellow Fox Valley Association front-runner Hortonville, and this week earned a road win at second-place Appleton East before a third straight road victory, this time a 78-20 rout of Fond du Lac.

Ghosts outlast Thunder in overtime thriller as part of 2-2 week

Kaukauna fans were treated to a very entertaining game when the Ghosts beat Seymour 92-87 in overtime on Jan. 11. The nets were scorched as both teams shot well throughout the game but the Thunder could not hold on to the lead late in regulation.

Little Chute boys pick up crucial win at Lux-Casco

The Little Chute boys had not played since before Christmas when they lost on the road at Wrightstown on Dec. 23. The Mustangs clearly used that time to their advantage, however, as they went on the road to beat one of the top teams in the North Eastern Conference with a 64-61 win at Luxemburg-Casco.

Kimberly girls fall to Neenah for first loss of season before responding with wins at Hortonville, Appleton East

The Neenah Rockets seem to be a bugaboo for Kimberly basketball. The Rockets handed the Kimberly boys their first loss of the season last month, and now Neenah has done the same to the Maker girls after holding on for a 60-56 win in Kimberly last Monday night.
