Kaukauna’s Campbell wins 2021 John Anderson Award

Kaukauna linebacker Will Campbell was announced last week as the winner of the 2021 John Anderson Award.
The award is given to the most outstanding senior linebacker in the state as voted on by an awards panel as well as a fan vote.
“It means quite a bit to me,” Campbell said of bringing home the award.

Ghosts’ Fauske named Fox Valley Association Girls Runner of the Year

Kaukauna sophomore Sydney Fauske was named the Fox Valley Association Girls Runner of the Year for 2021. 
Fauske led the Ghosts to another conference championship and state meet appearance. She had an average time of 18 minutes, 57 seconds to lead all FVA girls.

Four members of the Little Chute girls state-qualifying cross country team have been named First-Team All-Conference, while four of the Mustang boys runners were also named First-Team All-North Eastern Conference.

Eight Kimberly players, three Ghosts named WFCA All-Region

Eight Kimberly players and three Kaukauna players were named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association’s All-Region teams last week.
Ghosts’ receiver Carson Sippel, linebacker Will Campbell, and kicker Gavin Lahm all earned recognition.

Papermakers senior Re named FVA POY, Gardner COY

After winning the 2021 Fox Valley Association Conference Championship, Kimberly forward Cooper Re was named the FVA Player of the Year and head coach Carl Gardner was named the conference’s Coach of the Year.
The Makers went unbeaten in conference play, finishing the year with a record of 6-0-2.

First-Year Makers head coach Leitermann named FVA COY

The Kimberly girls volleyball team was crowned Fox Valley Association Champions in 2021, finishing with an unbeaten record of 9-0. For his efforts, first-year Papermakers head coach Nate Leitermann was named the FVA Coach of the Year.

Kaukauna’s Stueber named FVA Player of the Year


Kaukauna’s Xavier Stueber was named the Fox Valley Association Boys Volleyball Player of the Year after helping lead the Ghosts to a conference title and the best regular-season record in the state.
Kaukauna’s Xavier Stueber was named the Fox Valley Association Boys Volleyball Player of the Year for the 2021 season.
Stueber was one of only two unanimous all-conference selections alongside Appleton North’s Max Nelson.

Kaukauna’s Clark commits to Badgers

Kaukauna’s Greyson Clark announced via Twitter that he will continue his wrestling career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Clark will join the Badgers’ class of 2023. He won an individual state title last season and helped the Ghosts win the 2020-21 team state championship.

Little Chute linemen lead Mustangs on NEC All-Conference teams


File photo/Little Chute lineman Matthew Janssen was named First-Team All-North Eastern Conference for the 2021 season along with fellow lineman Samuel Zamudio.
Little Chute offensive lineman Samuel Zamudio and defensive lineman Matthew Janssen were both named First-Team All-NEC for the 2021 football season.
Both were unanimous selections.
Zamudio and Janssen led the way up front for the Mustangs’ two best position groups during the fall.
