The Kaukauna Area School District has selected a Fox Valley school administrator and the son of a veteran Kaukauna band teacher as the district’s next superintendent.
The Kaukauna wrestling team clinched at least a share of the 2021-22 Fox Valley Association title with a thrilling 38-31 victory over Neenah on Thursday at the Ron Einerson Fieldhouse.
In December, the Kaukauna boys basketball team needed a shot at the buzzer to beat Oshkosh West. Friday night, the Ghosts jumped out to a 10-0 start and the Wildcats were down by double digits almost the entire game, with Kaukauna coming out on top, 95-67.
NEENAH — The Kaukauna boys basketball team knew it had a challenge in facing the state’s newly-crowned Division 1 basketball team and they weren’t quite up to that challenge, falling to the Neenah Rockets 81-63 at the Armstrong Fieldhouse.
For one half, Wrightstown Coach Cory Haese’s game plan worked.
But a basketball game is played for two halves and the Little Chute Mustangs figured out a solution to Wrightstown’s triangle-and-two defense to beat the Tigers 58-43 last Tuesday evening at the Tiger Dome.
The Kaukauna girls basketball team entered last week’s game with fifth-ranked Neenah on an eight-game winning streak in the final game of the first round of Fox Valley Association play and dominated the Rockets 84-68 at home.
