Kimberly boys, girls cross country teams both advance to state

The Kimberly boys’ cross country team finished second overall at a D1 sectional in Hortonville Friday afternoon, led by Nolan Richey’s second-place finish overall in 16 minutes 19 seconds and Tyler Re’s fifth-place finish overall in 16:31.

WESTON – One could look at Kaukauna’s first three wins and point out that they came against smaller programs.

Martin Luther, Plymouth and Wisconsin Lutheran are Divisions 3 and 4 schools, and their rosters were much smaller than the Ghosts’, allowing Kaukauna to wear down their opponents.

The Kaukauna girls’ cross country team has been maybe the most dominant cross country force in the state in 2020. The Ghosts won every regular season meet, finished first in sub-sectionals and now added another first-place finish, this time at a Division 1 sectional at Hortonville, to advance to state.

Kimberly CC boys, girls both finish second at FVA Conference Meet

The Papermaker girls’ cross country team finished Thursday afternoon’s Fox Valley Association Conference Meet with 46 points, 20 behind FVA Champion Kaukauna, while the boys also finished second and ended the day with 58 points, 13 behind Neenah.
