Strong second half leads Ghosts to road win at Plymouth

Despite allowing a touchdown late in the first half to lose the lead, Kaukauna played its best football coming out of halftime Friday night.

Back-to-back touchdown drives by the offense and two three-and-outs forced by the defense allowed the Ghosts to take control against host Plymouth on the way to a 27-19 victory.

The Kaukauna girls’ volleyball team played four matches last week that all went to the wire, starting with a 3-2 loss at home to Oconto on Monday and ending with another five-set loss, this time against Randolph, bookending wins against Howards Grove and Mosinee, both also in five sets.

Little Chute girls’ golf advances to sectionals, ends season shy of state berth

The Little Chute girls’ golf team finished third at its regional last week, shooting a 394 at the Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie, good for third place in its regional and a spot at sectionals yesterday held at Ives Grove Golf Course in Sturtevant.
