Little Chute hosted a four-team multi-dual on Dec. 23 along with Appleton East, Fox Valley Lutheran, and Lourdes Academy.

The Mustangs went 3-0 on the day, their closest margin of victory being 18 points.

The Kaukauna wrestling team took the first two matches and five of the first six on its way to another Fox Valley Association dual win, this time a 60-12 victory over Appleton North.

Michael Posorski and Mason Hansen both won by forfeit at 106 and 113, respectively, to begin the dual. 

Kaukauna senior Gavin Lahm signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his kicking career as a preferred walk-on at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Lahm officially signed during a ceremony at Kaukauna High School Dec. 15.

Despite eclipsing their highest scoring output of the season thus far, the Little Chute girls lost 51-31 on the road at North Eastern Conference foe Luxemburg-Casco last Tuesday night, Dec. 21.

The Kaukauna girls basketball team put its loss to rival Kimberly behind it and headed into Christmas break with a win after beating West De Pere 71-48 at home last Tuesday, Dec. 21.

The Ghosts had four scorers in double figures as a balanced attack that featured 11 3-pointers proved too much for the Phantoms.

The Mustang boys picked up their second win of the 2021-22 season and their second in three games with a 59-52 home win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood last Tuesday, Dec. 21.

In a Fox Valley Association matchup of two unbeatens, the Kimberly and Neenah wrestling teams took things down to the final match.

Unfortunately for the Makers, they were on the wrong side of that match in a 39-34 dual defeat to the Rockets.

The Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team played twice last week but came away with losses in both, first dropping a 7-4 game against Oshkosh and then getting blanked by Ashwaubenon 4-0.

Fox Cities hosted the Jaguars on Saturday but weren’t able to get on the board in a 4-0 loss.

The Kimberly wrestling team picked up another Fox Valley Association duel victory Thursday night as the Makers routed Oshkosh North 64-12.

Kimberly then traveled to participate in the Wickersham Memorial Christmas Classic, where the Papermakers finished second overall with 321.5 points behind only Arrowhead’s 345.5.

Kimberly High School graduate and Biathlete Paul Schommer qualified for Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 by virtue of his performance at this season’s IBU World Cup events.

Schommer’s teammate, Jake Brown from Saint Paul, Minn. Also qualified for the games.
