Kimberly sending pair of wrestlers to state

HORTONVILLE — Two Kimberly Papermaker wrestlers — Karsen Otis and Tyson Peach — are headed to Madison for this year’s WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Kohl Center at UW-Madison after placing in the top two at Saturday’s Division 1 sectional at Hortonville High School.

No head coach? No problem for Kimberly boys

Even without its head coach, the Kimberly boys’ basketball cruised past another Fox Valley Association opponent. 
Host Appleton North stayed within striking distance midway through the second half of their game on Friday, but a 17-2 run by Kimberly helped the Papermakers pull off an 84-56 victory.

Ghosts sending five wrestlers to individual state

HORTONVILLE — Five sectional champions and two sectional runners up from Kaukauna travel to Madison for this year’s WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Kohl Center at UW-Madison.
Division 1 preliminaries begin Thursday at 3 p.m., with quarterfinals beginning approximately 5:15 p.m.

Two weeks ago when Kaukauna hosted Fond du Lac, Kaukauna’s Jon O’Neill scored 35 points and grabbed 30 rebounds, while Fondy’s Jamariea Dalton scored 50 points in an 87-79 Kaukauna win.

Kimberly sending 9 wrestlers to sectional meet

Kimberly finished in third place with 185 points behind Kaukauna (238) and Neenah (228) at Saturday’s WIAA Division 1 regional tournament held at Hortonville High School.
With the top four placers from regionals advancing, Kimberly sends nine young men to Saturday’s sectional meet also held at Hortonville.
