WIAA examines study that concludes high school sports has not led to COVID-19 increase

A study conducted by the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health concluded participation in high school sports in Wisconsin has not led to an increase in COVID-19 infections among high school student-athletes.

Mustangs win five-set thriller before bowing out to Xavier

Before losing to Xavier in a Division 2 regional semifinal on Thursday night, the Little Chute volleyball team played its best game of the season to that point, winning a five-set marathon at home against Berlin 3-2.

Mustangs able to find opponent, earn road win over Hortonville

The Little Chute football team didn’t know if it would have a game to play Friday until last Monday afternoon. But despite losing days of preparation, the Mustangs went on the road and beat Division 2 and Valley Football Association member Hortonville 25-7.

The Kimberly boys’ cross country team finished second overall at a D1 sectional in Hortonville Friday afternoon, led by Nolan Richey’s second-place finish overall in 16 minutes 19 seconds and Tyler Re’s fifth-place finish overall in 16:31.

WESTON – One could look at Kaukauna’s first three wins and point out that they came against smaller programs.

Martin Luther, Plymouth and Wisconsin Lutheran are Divisions 3 and 4 schools, and their rosters were much smaller than the Ghosts’, allowing Kaukauna to wear down their opponents.

APPLETON — The Kaukauna High School girls volleyball season came to an end Saturday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School, with the Ghosts losing 25-20, 25-20, and 25-15 to the host Foxes.
