Donna Jean Goetzman - Kaukauna, Age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Feb. 27, 2024, at St. Paul Elder Services. She was born on Jan. 27, 1943, daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Daul) Biese. Donna married Lance Goetzman on Sept. 8, 1962, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. They have five children, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren all of whom were Donna’s pride and joy. She loved being involved and cheering them on in all of their activities and interests. Donna was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain her family, friends and neighbors through cocktail parties, holiday get-togethers and other special gatherings. She and Lance also hosted several duck dinners for the clergy of Holy Cross. She especially looked forward to her Sunday dinners with her family. If it happened to be Packer season, you could often find her making big batches of Chex mix and homemade caramel corn. She enjoyed playing cards and games. For many years, she played with her bridge club, and later she loved to host game nights for her grandchildren where, once again, they shared a delicious meal and many laughs while playing and making lasting memories together. Donna was also very crafty and especially enjoyed cross-stitching. She stitched each of her children a special piece for their wedding days. One of her favorite things in life was spending time at the cabin with her family. It made her heart full to see the kids and grandkids enjoy the lake and share time around the campfire. Her great sense of humor and warm smile will be greatly missed. Though there is pain in our loss, our joy comes from knowing she is resting easy in the arms of the Lord. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”. Psalm 30:5. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 61 years: Lance Goetzman; children: Karen Tschimperle, Sara (Leo) Ebben, Steve (Marsha) Goetzman, Jeff (Robyn) Goetzman, and Emily (Jeremy) Fritz; grandchildren: Drew, Sam and Abby Tschimperle, Elizabeth (Tom) Kong, Emma and Maddy Ebben, Kristin (Kevin) Hall, Megan (fiance Cameron Stanek), Eric and Anna Goetzman, Courtney and Kayla Goetzman, and Harper Fritz; great-grandchildren: Sylvie Hall and Eleanore Kong; siblings: Joanne Buechler, Delores (Richard) Gerrits, Patricia (Burt) McIntyre, and Daniel Biese; brothers and sisters-in-law: Carol Biese, Hope (John) Van De Hey, Sue (Lee) Jacques, and Lynn Hunter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents: Bernard and Elizabeth (Daul) Biese; Lance’s parents: Robert and LaVerne Goetzman; siblings: Eugene (Betty) Biese, MaryLee (Irv) Rosenow, Richard Biese, and Paul Biese; in-laws: Eugene Buechler and Rita Biese. Donna’s Funeral Mass was held March 5 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
