Donna MarDonna Mary Huss nee Rogers Age 92, died July 7, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 23, 1932 to Claude and Lucille (Reichel) Rogers. She married Roland (Rollie) Huss on Sept. 27, 1958. Together they built a home and raised seven children. Donna was a hard worker and took meticulous care of her children and home. No task was too big or small and she taught us to do the job right the first time, work once. She was an expert folder of clothes as evident by her closets and dressers; everything looks like a department store display to this day. Donna loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and with her children decorated the house and tree to look like a department store display. As if keeping a big house was not enough, she was an excellent cook. Having to feed nine people made every meal a banquet, a most delicious banquet, whether it was an everyday meal or the Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter feasts. It was worth doing dishes for two hours after we ate just to taste her food. Donna loved Turner Classic movies, her word search books, the Packers, traveling to Florida, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Donna was proud of her Stockbridge-Munsee Native American heritage. Donna was preceded in death by her husband: Rollie; her parents; her siblings: William Rogers, Patricia Rogers Fetzner; her in-laws: Cy (Marge) Huss, Clete (Shirley) Huss, Joan (George) Vervoort, Clayton Huss, Gary Huss, Mary (Marv) Van Groll, Peter Huss; nephews: Pat and Corey Rogers, Dick Huss; nieces: Judy Verbockel and Diane Dreger; and grandson: Adam Pitt. Donna is survived by her children: Linda (Tom) Pitt, Mark Huss, Patricia Tsichlis, Greg (Laura) Huss, Barbara Huss, Sandra (Aaron) Davis, Kelly (Kevin) Zwiechowski; grandchildren: Eric (Ryan) Pitt, Allison (Allen) Pettigrew, Austin (special friend Alexis Reichard) Pitt, Christopher Huss, Sarah (Bryan) Forcand, Sophia Davis, Andrew Davis, and Phoebe Zwieschowski; great-grandchildren: Storm Findley, Sophie Lucille Findley-Pitt, and Baby Boy Pettigrew, due December 2025; sisters-in-law: Kay Huss and Jean Huss; special godchild: Diane (Cy) Schmidt, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Huss family wishes to thank the nurses and caregivers at St. Paul Home, COR, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton and all of the medical professionals in the ICU at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton for their compassionate care of our beloved Mother. The funeral mass for Donna was held July 12 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Luke Ferris presiding. For online condolences and a full obituary please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
