Kimberly defense shuts down Pulaski rushing attack in win


Andrew Hanlon photo/Kimberly senior running back Caleb Frazer plunged in from 1 yard out on fourth and goal as the first-half clock expired, giving the Papermakers a 20-0 lead going into halftime on their way to a 23-6 win over Pulaski Thursday night.
The Kimberly defense held a unique and stout Pulaski running game that had gashed Ashwaubenon for 368 yards and 8 touchdowns – on 10.8 yards per carry – in week one to just 114 yards and 3.2 yards per carry Thursday night as the Papermakers moved to 2-0 with a 23-6 home win over the Red Raiders at Papermaker Stadium.

Kimberly girls lose road match at De Pere, fall to 5-3 overall on year

The Kimberly girls volleyball team fell to 5-3 overall after a 3-1 road loss at De Pere last Monday night, March 29.
As a non-conference match, though, the loss did not count against the Fox Valley Association standings, where the Makers remain at 3-2 and in third place behind 6-0 Appleton North and 5-1 Oshkosh West.

Former Kimberly star and Madison runner Ellenberg named Big 10 Freshman of the Year

Former Kimberly star and current Badgers’ runner Rowen Ellenberg has been named the Big Ten Men’s Cross Country Freshman of the Year.
Ellenberg finished third at the Big Ten Championships to help lead the Badgers to the team title for the third consecutive year and 51st time overall.

The Kaukauna boys’ volleyball team won twice more last week, keeping their unblemished season alive with victories over Notre Dame and Fond du Lac.

The Ghosts swept Notre Dame on the road 25-9, 25-15, 25-14 Thursday night.

Kimberly girls complete undefeated week after heartbreaker versus West

After dropping a heartbreaker against Fox Valley Association rival Oshkosh West on March 16, the Kimberly girls’ volleyball team responded with three consecutive road wins this week with victories over Stevens Point and Neenah at a triangular on Tuesday along with a win at Fond du Lac Thursday.

Kimberly boys remain unbeaten as Makers complete rally


Andrew Hanlon photo/Kimberly senior Jaxon Schroeder finished with 10 kills, 7 blocks and 3 aces in the Papermakers’ comeback win over Fond du Lac on senior night Thursday.
The top three teams in the Fox Valley Association during this alternate boys’ volleyball season are Kaukauna, Fond du Lac and defending state champion Kimberly. 
The Papermakers had their first true conference contest last Thursday night as they hosted the Cardinals, and to put it lightly, things didn’t start well.

Kimberly football returns, rolls Sheboygan South 56-0


Andrew Hanlon photo/Kimberly junior quarterback Caden Pendleton waltzes into the endzone for an 8-yard touchdown run during the first quarter of Friday’s home victory over Sheboygan South. Pendleton was 3-of-4 for 40 yards through the air and added a score on the ground during less than a half of play in the win.
