Sally Giordana

(nee Lindstrom) Kaukauna

Sally Ann Giordana (nee Lindstrom) - Kaukauna - Age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 15, 2025. She was born on May 3, 1936, to the late Albert and Dorothy (Childs) Lindstrom in Kaukauna. Sally attended Park School and Kaukauna High School, where she proudly served as Captain of the cheerleading team. In November of 1955, she married the love of her life, Richard P. Giordana. Together, they built a life full of family, friendship, and community. Sally and Rich ran The Modern Bar from 1957–70, and were proprietors of Rich and Sally’s Cove from 1971–84. She also worked at Pechman’s Studio, the Village of Little Chute Clerk’s Office, and the Times-Villager. Sally lived her life with grace, determination, and style. A self-taught artist, her many paintings are treasured by family and friends. She was also an avid golfer, celebrating a hole-in-one at Hilly Haven, and enjoyed the comradery of her fellow golfers throughout her many years of the sport. She was a lifelong music lover, dancer, walker, reader, and Christian – a proud and dedicated member of Holy Cross Church all her adult life. Sally volunteered her time with the Kaukauna Area School District and was a proud Packer Backer and season ticket holder. She and Rich enjoyed memorable trips to Acapulco, Mexico, with friends. Sally took great pride in the raising of her four children and thoroughly enjoyed the role of “Nana” to her six grandchildren. She enjoyed all the various extracurricular activities her children and grandchildren participated in and cherished each event.  Her support was invaluable. Sally is preceded in death by her husband: Richard; her parents; her siblings: Jack Lindstrom, Roy Lindstrom, Carol Verstegen, Lee Lindstrom, and Carl Lindstrom; and her mother and father-in-law: Emil Sr. and Laura Giordana. Sally will be deeply missed by her children: Pamela Ann (Karl) Waichulaitis, Jeff L. (Kelly) Giordana, Troy R. (Patti) Giordana, and Gino P. (Missy) Giordana; her beloved grandchildren: Aubrey Giordana (spouse James Connor), Jacob Waichulaitis (fiancée Chelsea), Dacia Giordana (fiancé Marco Mascitti), Nicolas Giordana (special friend Mikayden), Gianna Giordana, and Dominic Giordana. She shared an undying love for them with the phrase “love you to the moon and back.” She is further survived by her sister-in-law: LaDonna Giordana; many nieces, nephews, members of Rich’s family, friends, and too many extended relatives to include! If you would like to meet them all, take a drive through Riverside Park on the last Sunday of June! A memorial visitation will be held for Sally from 1–3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Luke Ferris officiating a Mass to follow at 3:30 p.m. Sally will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to any charity or association of your choosing that supports Alzheimer’s/Dementia research and treatment. Sally’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Helen’s House, especially Emily and Ornella, Dr. Gyorog’s nurse Rachel, and the caring team at Compassus Hospice for their loving support.
