The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office hosted a training opportunity for area emergency responders at at Little Chute Elementary School and Kaukauna High School last week in collaboration with Texas State University’s Advanced Law Enforce-ment Rapid Response Training Center.
Middle School Principal Anna Maass, High School Principal Tony Bird, and District Administrator/Flex Academy Principal, Heidi Schmidt spoke about their building reports and goals at the June 23 meeting of the Little Chute Area School District at the school district office.
Kayla Sutton was approved as an assistant principal at J.R. Gerritts Middle School starting this year. She previously served as a science teacher at the high school and a dean at Mapleview Intermediate School prior to her new role.
The Little Chute Area School District welcomed renowned author, librarian, and advocate for children’s literature, John Schu, for a series of student presentations last week at all three school buildings.
A group of Little Chute High School students were the first group in the Fox Valley were the first to see a new military program on April 23 that focused on women and minorities.
Steve Andres was elected president of the Little Chute School Board at last week’s meeting. Shannon Pomeroy was elected vice president, Rob Eiting, treasurer, and new board member, Betsy Zemlock, clerk.
