Students at Kaukauna High School were treated to music from talented musicians 7000apart from Green Bay and Sweden and Bailey James from Nashville.

But it wasn’t all about the music.

Members of the bands spoke about their journey through mental health.

There was a bit of commotion last week when a gas leak was detected at Madison and McKinley streets in Little Chute after a construction crew allegedly hit a gas line. Residents were notified of evacuations taking place on the west side of Madison and Jefferson Street.

There are several athletic competitions that bring thousands of people to Kaukauna High School every year, but that’s the only reason for thousands of people to descend on the campus other that graduation.

The Kimberly School Board approved another international travel request at last week’s meeting. The trip will be for students at the middle school level to take a trip to Mexico in 2025

The Kaukauna school board last week approved a proposal from Eppstein Uhen Architects for future planning and architectural services at a fee not to exceed $48,500.

To maximize the learning of all students in the classrooms the Little Chute School District recognized the need for the highest quality staff and established a professional learning measure in its Blueprint for Brilliance.

Wednesday was a big day for the teaching staff in the Kaukauna Area School District, when they had their first look at the district’s Continuous Improvement Plan that was completed this summer.

The Kimberly Area School District received another $5,000 donation at last week’s meeting. The donation will be used toward athletics, music and theater and is from Vera Lysy, who has donated to the district in the past.
