With their past history of conference dominance, the Kaukauna boys volleyball team expects to build on that this year. The Ghosts have won seven of the last 10 conference titles and finished third in the conference last season.
Jenna Schumacher led the way last week for the Kimberly golf team. She earned three top five finishes in the team’s three meets as the team started their season.
Charlie Vanden Burgt showed his experience in Little Chute’s week one win over Shawano at home. The senior helped his team overcome their inexperience by getting four rushing touchdowns in a 35-0 win.
The goals haven’t changed for the Little Chute cross country team after winning a conference championship last season. Despite losing athletes like Riley Huss and Will Bakken from last year’s squad the team still is aiming high this season.

It was group effort for Kaukauna as they opened the season with a home win over Ashwaubenon on Friday night. The Ghosts had almost 430 yards of offense, while the defense forced four turnovers in a 42-14 win at Bank of Kaukauna Stadium.
The Kimberly boys volleyball team is taking it one match at a time as they aim for another conference title this season. Last year, the Papermakers went 23-14 overall, but were 6-1 in conference play.
The Kimberly Papermakers golf team is aiming for being in the top half of the FVA this season as they return their entire varsity team from last season. Head coach Greg Lueneberg expects that the Schumacher sisters will be a big part of that.
