Kimberly girls start 2021-22 season 1-0 with road win at Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Kimberly girls basketball team got its season off to a quick start with a 73-61 win at Wisconsin Rapids Friday night.
The Papermakers took a nine-point lead into the half and held on down the stretch to begin the season 1-0.

Little Chute girls drop season opener on road at Seymour

SEYMOUR – The Little Chute girls basketball team opened the 2021-22 season with a non-conference matchup on the road at Seymour last Tuesday, but some of the familiar issues that arose last year plagued the Mustangs once again in a 58-17 loss.

Kaukauna’s Campbell wins 2021 John Anderson Award

Kaukauna linebacker Will Campbell was announced last week as the winner of the 2021 John Anderson Award.
The award is given to the most outstanding senior linebacker in the state as voted on by an awards panel as well as a fan vote.
“It means quite a bit to me,” Campbell said of bringing home the award.

Ghosts’ Fauske named Fox Valley Association Girls Runner of the Year

Kaukauna sophomore Sydney Fauske was named the Fox Valley Association Girls Runner of the Year for 2021. 
Fauske led the Ghosts to another conference championship and state meet appearance. She had an average time of 18 minutes, 57 seconds to lead all FVA girls.

Four members of the Little Chute girls state-qualifying cross country team have been named First-Team All-Conference, while four of the Mustang boys runners were also named First-Team All-North Eastern Conference.

Eight Kimberly players, three Ghosts named WFCA All-Region

Papermakers senior Re named FVA POY, Gardner COY

After winning the 2021 Fox Valley Association Conference Championship, Kimberly forward Cooper Re was named the FVA Player of the Year and head coach Carl Gardner was named the conference’s Coach of the Year.
The Makers went unbeaten in conference play, finishing the year with a record of 6-0-2.
