The Kimberly girls cross country team took fourth at last week’s Mike Jameson invite at Meadowbrook Park in Howard. The girls finished with 94 points, while the boys took sixth with 115 points.
The Papermakers had strong efforts from Joel Colvin and Owen Weidert this week as the Papermakers boys soccer team earned wins over Oshkosh West and Kingsford.
Kalli Mau and the UW-Oshkosh volleyball team gained early control of the WIAC volleyball race with a five set win (25-18, 13-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-10) in a battle of top 10 teams against UW-Whitewater at the Kolf Sports Center. Mau had 27 assists in the win for the Titans.
The Little Chute cross country teams had their version of Friday Night Lights last week as the teams ran in the Nightfall Classic at Winagamie. The girls won the meet with 43 points, while the boys took fourth with 131 points.
The Kimberly girls volleyball team got their second conference win of the season last week with a road sweep against Hortonville. The Papermakers dominated the first two sets by double digits before winning the final set by seven (25-10, 25-11, 25-18).
Ella Bolz earned first place for the Kimberly girls tennis team at the Sweet 16 tournament in Nicolet last weekend. Bolz went 4-0 in the invite for the Papermakers as they earned a seventh place finish as a team.
The Kaukauna cross country teams had a good showing at last week’s Shawano Invite. The girls finished behind Notre Dame Academy with 110 points, while the boys took fourth with 116 points.
FOND DU LAC – The three headed rushing attack of the Kimberly Papermakers led the way on Friday night as Braeden Ellefson, Brady Bell and Kegan Pleau all scored rushing touchdowns in the team’s 42-7 road win over Fond du Lac.
