An effort to raise money to help veterans was wildly successful earlier this month when Kamps Bar & Grill in Combined Locks hosted a walk that raised $22,021.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 41 and the American Legion Post 41 of Kaukauna volunteers will be distributing veteran handcrafted memorial poppies in exchange for a freewill offering on Thursday, May 27 and Friday, May 28 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at StoneRidge Piggly Wiggly in Kaukauna.

The city is doing the concrete work as its portion of the road resurfacing project. Outagamie County will install an asphalt road surface.
The recent work to reduce liquids and for a surface crust at the Red Hills Landfill in Kaukauna are yielding positive results according to the Ahlstrom-Munskjo representatives working on the project.

The Combined Locks Village Board amended an ordinance relating to designated parking areas in the business park district zoning.
