Sherwood to open some park facilities and events but splash pad remains closed


The popular splash pad at Wanick Choute Park in Sherwood is the most prominent item that remains closed among park and recreation facilities in the village. The splash pad will soon be taken out of its winterization mode and tested. The village PRUI board will discuss the splash pad at its July meeting.

The effort by many communities to open some facilities this summer now extends to some Sherwood park facilities as well. Some tough decisions were recently made by the village.
