Harrison reduces hours for yard waste site effective Sept. 1


Brian Roebke photo/The Harrison Village Board is changing hours at the village’s yard waste site on Peters Road effective Sept. 1. The new hours will be 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The site will be supervised during open hours.
Challenging the need for extended hours for residential use at the Peters Road yard waste site, Harrison Village Board Trustee Scott Handschke moved to reduce the current hours to 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and to 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday beginning on Sept. 1 and to have the site supervised during open hours.

Paperfest & Venture Wisconsin bring original music stage to centennial

The “Craft Midway” is a new addition to Paperfest and the Combined Locks Centennial event this year. New from last year’s planned activities, Paperfest is bringing Downtown Appleton’s three premiere craft breweries, food trucks, and “craft music” to a third stage in the middle of the festival with the help of Venture Wisconsin.

The Kaukauna Library is open for intentional browsing, computer-use and holds pickup. Study rooms are now available and meeting rooms are available for scheduled use.
