Kimberly’s Evan Buss has conference title on his mind in his senior football season at Northern Illinois University. Last year, the Huskies finished 7-6 overall with a 5-3 conference record and won the Camellia Bowl last season against Arkansas State.

After starting their regional on a three game win streak, the Kaukauna Angels saw their season end after two straight losses to Manitowoc Post 88 last Saturday.

Two area Legion baseball teams got wins in the state tournament held at Sunset Park last week. Kimberly’s varsity Legion team earned wins over Holmen and Germantown, while Little Chute’s JV legion team earned wins over Holmen and Chippewa Falls.

Isaac Maas had a big week for the Kaukauna Legion baseball team. Maas had five hits last week as he helped the Angels get three more weeks before they head into regional play this week.

The Little Chute Legion baseball team heads into regional play on a good note as they earned two wins last week against Freedom and Wrightstown.

The Kimberly Legion baseball team is looking to get back at playing at their potential. The Cougars suffered their first two losses of the summer, but are still in the state legion tournament mix with hosting the tournament this weekend.
