Kimberly’s defense shined despite taking a 27-12 loss at home in week one of the 2026 football season. The Papermakers got several defensive stops and cut a 14-0 lead to two before Sussex Hamilton scored two touchdowns in the final two quarters of play.

APPLETON – The outcome between the state’s top-ranked team in WIAA Division 4 and one coming off a two-win season was never in doubt last Friday night when Little Chute shut out Xavier 42-0.
The Little Chute Mustangs girls golf team will look for their experience to be a big part of their season. They bring back a solid nucleus that played most of their varsity events a season ago.
The Kimberly boys volleyball program is as strong as it ever has been. After reaching a sectional final match a season ago, the Papermakers had 60 boys trying out at all levels of the program this fall as they have more seniors this year than ever before.
Elise Schreiber and Sarah Reider will be the experienced part of the Kimberly girls tennis team this fall. Schreiber returns after reaching the individual state tournament a season ago, while Reider was the No. 4 singles player for the Papermakers last fall.
Despite losing players like Liam Paradiso to graduation, the Kimberly Papermakers boys soccer team has the same goals this fall despite being a younger team.
The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts boys soccer program will once again have a young team, but the program will lean on their seniors as they look to follow up a season where they won a regional championship.
The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls golf team started the season by taking first at the Seymour Thunder Invitational at the Crystal Springs Golf Course. The Ghosts took first with 333 strokes as freshman Emily Thoreson led the way with a 78 on the course.
