Carlie Hendricks is the recipient of the 2021 Kaukauna Community Health Associates scholarship. The daughter of Michael and Amy Hendricks of Greenleaf receives $750 annually while she pursues a degree in Rehabilitation Science/Pre-Occupational Therapy at Concordia University of Wisconsin in Mequon.

Six Wisconsin educators, including Julia Henshaw, an eighth-grade mathematics teacher at J.R. Gerritts Middle School in Kimberly, were named finalists for the 2021 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Little Chute School Board makes indoor and outdoor masking optional

Recognizing that some individuals, staff or student, would feel more comfortable wearing masks, while others felt safe not wearing masks, the Little Chute School Board voted at a special session last week to make indoor and outdoor masking optional for summer school and summer program participants.

Kimberly School Board votes to make masks optional for summer classes

Community member try to sway Kaukauna school board on masking

An unusually large crowd of people didn’t go home with what they wanted but did get an olive branch given to them after attending last week’s Kaukauna school board meeting.
