Kaukauna board of education approves reduced mill rate

The Kaukauna school board approved a $7.04 mill rate for the 2021-22 tax levy at last week’s meeting, down from $8.49 for the 2020-21 tax year. The state government is giving school districts greater state aid, but has capped the revenue limit, causing the large decrease in the mill rate.

Catholic schools see increased enrollment for 2021-22

While Catholic schools across the country have experienced a decline in enrollment due to the pandemic, the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Green Bay have experienced one of the largest increases in enrollment. Between 2020 and 2021, overall, there was a 4.8 percent increase in enrollment.
