Kimberly girls tennis' senior doubles team of Abby Ostermann and JeanMarie Lorentz entered the state tournament seeded sixth and won their first three matches before ending the weekend one match shy of a chance at fifth-place.

The Kaukauna boys’ soccer team earned a No. 2 seed in a Division 2 regional and beat seventh-seeded Green Bay West Tuesday night. The Ghosts face No. 3 seed Green Bay Southwest on Saturday.

Kaukauna freshman Lowe finishes tied for 41st at state

Kaukauna freshman McKenna Lowe advanced to the WIAA State Girls Golf Tournament as an individual in her first season at the varsity level and earned a 41st-place finish, tied with Tomah’s Amelia Zingler and Sheboygan North/South’s Hannah Miller. Lowe finished with a 173 overall across both days.

Ghosts continue winning ways with sweep of Kimberly

The Kaukauna boys’ volleyball team has been crushing opponents all season long and the Ghosts continued their winning ways with a 3-0 rivalry win over Kimberly, 25-16, 25-16, 25-20, last Tuesday night at Kimberly.

Little Chute boys win NEC cross country meet, girls finish second


Brian Roebke photo/Little Chute’s Caleb Mostek (left) finished second overall at the North Eastern Conference Cross Country Meet Friday. Mostek finished with a time of 16 minutes, 46 seconds, second to only teammate Riley Huss (right) who was first overall with a time of 16:29.
The Little Chute boys’ cross country team ran away with the North Eastern Conference Meet last Friday in Luxemburg-Casco, finishing with a team score of 32, 24 points better than Freedom.
The girls finished second overall, also with a team score of 32 but nine points behind the Irish.

Kaukauna girls first, Kimberly boys second at FVA CC meet

The Kaukauna girls’ cross country team continues to roll through the competition as it grabbed a first-place finish at the Fox Valley Association Meet last Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Kimberly boys finished second overall in their race. The Papermakers finished with 77 points to Neenah’s 48.

Kimberly girls’ volleyball wins Fox Valley Association championship

With a 3-0 win over Oshkosh West last Thursday night, the Kimberly girls’ volleyball team completed an unbeaten Fox Valley Association season and wrapped up a conference title.
The Papermakers finished the regular season with an overall record of 28-10 and were 9-0 in the FVA.

Kaukauna girls close out regular season with 3-1 win over Neenah

The Kaukauna girls volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a 3-1 home victory over Neenah Thursday night.
The win gave the Ghosts a 26-9 overall record on the year and a third-place finish in the Fox Valley Association with a record of 7-2.

Kimberly boys’ soccer wins Fox Valley Association title

Heading into last Tuesday night’s road matchup against Appleton North, the Kimberly boys’ soccer team needed only a draw to clinch a conference title. 
The Lightning entered the night second in the Fox Valley Association and had been on the Papermakers’ heels all season, but just one point would do the trick.

Defense leads Little Chute to 15-6 win, playoff berth


Brian Roebke photo/Little Chute’s defense, including Michael Rambo (17), Jack Kang (32) and Jack Verstegen (64) were the catalyst for the Mustangs’ home win over Menominee (Mich.) Friday night.
The Little Chute Mustangs’ defense held Menominee (Mich.) to just six points and the offense provided just enough scoring in a 15-6 home victory Friday night that vaulted the team into the playoffs.
The Mustangs earned a No. 6 seed in a Division 4 regional and play at Oconto Falls Friday night at 7 p.m.
