Cameron Perkovich and Brody Beck both went 2-0 for the Papermakers in the conference duals held at Kimberly High School on Jan. 12. Kimberly went 1-1 as a team in the duals with a 42-27 loss to Hortonville and a 69-12 win to Appleton West.

The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts had six champions last week in the Badger invite last week in Lake Geneva. Ben Krueger, Liam Crook, Greyson Clark, Bryan Winans, Brady Sprangers and Lucas Peters all grabbed first place finishes over the weekend.

The Little Chute Mustangs girls basketball team got a bit of an offensive boost from Abby Van Handel and Maya Ruesch last week. Van Handel scored 10 points, while Ruesch scored eight in the team’s loos to Marinette on Jan. 13.

Alix Kilpatrick and Kate McGinnis stepped up their scoring last week as the Kimberly Papermakers showed their grit in some close contests. Kimberly edged out Appleton East in the final seconds, and played Appleton North in one point overtime loss.

The Little Chute Mustangs boys basketball team spread the ball around last week to stay undefeated on the season. The Mustangs got a key close conference win over Fox Valley Lutheran before winning big against Marinette to earn their 11th win of the year.

Gardner gets win in return to wrestling mat for Little Chute

Brock Gardner made his return to the wrestling mat last week for the Little Chute wrestling team. Gardner had missed part of the season recovering from an injury from the football season and made it count as he earned a victory in his match against Denmark.
