The Kimberly Papermakers girls basketball team had four players in double figures as they routed Madison Memorial on the road last week. MaKenzie Drout led the way with 17 points, while Kate McGinnis had 16 a dominating 81-38 win on Dec. 20.

Riley Schultz notched her third double-double of the season last week for the Little Chute Mustangs girls basketball team. Schultz had 13 points and 12 rebounds in the Mustangs’ 42-34 home win over Waupaca on Dec. 20.

Zarnecke selected as Wissports Athlete of the Week

Kaukauna senior Alana Zarnecke was selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week in a statewide vote on Wissports.net last week. There were 5,534 votes total in the vote, and Zarnecke had 2,067 votes with Prescott’s Dallas Wallin coming in second with 1,971 votes.

Kaukauna girls use huge second half to get past Papermakers

The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls basketball team used a big second half run to get past their neighboring rivals in the Kimberly Papermakers. After only having a 20-15 lead at the half, the Ghosts used a 20-4 run to get a comfortable win over the Papermakers.

Purdue commit Greyson Clark took home a first place finish in the 138 pound weight class as he helped the Kaukauna wrestling team grab a fourth place finish in the Rochester Christmas invite in Minnesota last week. Clark was among six top 10 finishes in the invite for the Ghosts.
