Kaukauna High School’s boys tennis team earned a 5-2 win over Fond du Lac on Thursday afternoon at the KHS courts.
The strength of Kaukauna’s team is the doubles teams, but on this day, the singles players split matches 2-2 in addition to the doubles teams sweeping the Cardinals.

Fifth-ranked Papermaker soccer team remains undefeated

Senah Hanes was a talking point during the Kimberly girls’ soccer team’s postgame huddle.
The sophomore was all over the field, registering a hat trick against Fond du Lac on Thursday evening.

Kaukauna golf team wins Heart of the Valley meet

The Kaukauna boys golf team had its highlight of the season last week when it won the Heart of the Valley meet at Wander Springs against its closest competitors. 
The Ghosts had 335 strokes, followed by Wrightstown with 340, Kimberly with 354, Freedom with 369, Kaukauna No. 2 with 384, and Little Chute with 390.

Kimberly, Kaukauna boys and girls finish 1-2 at FVA relays

Kimberly was first and Kaukauna second in boys and girls team scoring at the Fox Valley Association relays held May 3 at Hortonville High School.
Kimberly’s girls team nipped Kaukauna 113-111.5, while the Papermaker boys beat the Ghosts 111-75.5.

Kaukauna soccer team goes 2-1-1


Jen Pontow photo — The Kaukauna girls soccer team capped off four games last week with two wins on Saturday at the Kaukauna tournament. The ladies beat Wrightstown 1-0 on a goal by Karlyn Brockman and then Green Bay East 4-3, with two goals by Abril Gasca Ramirez and singles by Brockman and Kaylin Wegand. Earlier in the week, the Galloping Ghosts lost 3-0 to Kimberly and had a scoreless tie with West De Pere. The team held its annual cancer night last week when they hosted Kimberly.

Little Chute boys track and field team wins Two Rivers Invitational

The Little Chute men’s track team won the Two Rivers Invitational on Friday. With 128.5 points, the Mustangs topped second-place Green Bay Preble, which had 118.
In the women’s meet, the Mustangs were fourth with 85 points, behind Two Rivers with 121, Luxemburg-Casco with 101.5, and Manitowoc Lincoln with 91.

As the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams submitted their pick, the team’s general manager, Les Snead, placed a call to northeastern Wisconsin.
On the other end, Kimberly graduate Logan Bruss answered his phone.
