Little Chute senior Hunter Thiel had a great stat line Friday night, with seven receptions for 143 yards, three touchdowns, a fumble recovery, and an interception in his team’s 34-7 victory at Wrightstown.

WRIGHTSTOWN — The Little Chute football team clinched at least a share of the North Eastern Conference title Friday night with a solid 34-7 victory over Wrightstown.
The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts are headed to state after last week’s second place finish in the Kimberly sectional. The Ghosts scored 350 points at High Cliff and were six points away from first place finisher Bay Port.
Kaitlin Schulz and Eva Johnson both had solid performances last week as both had double digit kill matches for the Papermakers. Schulz had 17 against Appleton West, while Johnson had 12 against Neenah.
Addison Albrecht and Taylor Tetzlaff continue to provide leadership for the Kaukauna Ghosts girls volleyball team. The pair accounted for 17 of the team’s 44 kills in their win over Oshkosh North last week.
Maya Wegand and Nadia Roemer continue to lead the way for the Little Chute volleyball team. Wegand led the team in kills last week, while Roemer was a key contributor in digs for the Mustangs.
The Kimberly Papermakers ended their regular season with a tie against Appleton North. The team ended their regular season with a 5-4-1 record and tied with Neenah for second in the Fox Valley Association.

Seniors Hunter Thiel and Drew Joten made sure the County Road N sign came back to Little Chute last week. Both had key catches on the Mustangs’ final drive before Joten scored the game winning touchdown with under 30 seconds left in the game for a 22-16 win over Freedom.

Kimberly will have another conference banner to add to their gym this year as the Papermakers tennis earned their first ever share of a conference title last week. The Papermakers tied with Appleton North on Sept. 29 with 14 wins in the conference meet.
