Kimberly girls finish 1-1 at Brookfield Central Tournament

BROOKFIELD — The Kimberly girls basketball team traveled to Brookfield for a post-Christmas tournament, and after a tight loss to Pewaukee in the opener responded with a 27-point drubbing of the host Lancers.

Ghosts boys get back on track with two wins in Minnesota

WINONA — The Lewiston Auto Holiday Basketball Classic at Winona State University was kind to the Kaukauna Ghosts, winning two games after getting healthy, allowing the boys to break a four-game skid.
Kaukauna handled Winona, Minn. 92-69 on Dec. 28, and came back the next night with a 65-63 win over Worthington, Minn.

Kimberly can’t complete comeback in loss to Pewaukee

The Kimberly boys hosted Pewaukee last Tuesday, Dec. 28, but couldn’t respond from a five-point halftime deficit in an eventual 92-88 loss.
The Makers posted 55 second-half points, but their defense couldn’t follow suit as it allowed the Panthers to score 54 of their own.

Little Chute hosted a four-team multi-dual on Dec. 23 along with Appleton East, Fox Valley Lutheran, and Lourdes Academy.

The Kaukauna wrestling team took the first two matches and five of the first six on its way to another Fox Valley Association dual win, this time a 60-12 victory over Appleton North.

Kaukauna girls respond to Kimberly loss with rout of WDP

The Kaukauna girls basketball team put its loss to rival Kimberly behind it and headed into Christmas break with a win after beating West De Pere 71-48 at home last Tuesday, Dec. 21.
The Ghosts had four scorers in double figures as a balanced attack that featured 11 3-pointers proved too much for the Phantoms.
