Brock Verboncouer is headed to program that is prides itself in more than just football. The Kaukauna senior committed to NAIA’s Dort College last week at a college commitment signing that included Minnesota-Duluth commits Parker Schuh and Braeden Jansen.
HORTONVILLE – Kaukauna’s boys basketball team got out to a good start on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Hortonville and held off a second-half spurt by the Polar Bears to earn a 76-65 victory.
Landon Van Offeren had a monster performance last week during Kimberly’s 81-70 win over Appleton North. The senior had an impressive double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds in another win for the Papermakers.
Addie Banaszynski made an impact last week for the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls basketball team. She had two nine point games last week as Kaukauna currently sits at 9-10 with five games left in the season.
Kate McGinnis and Haylie Dulas are continuing to carry the scoring lead for the Kimberly girls basketball team with senior Raegan Krueger out the last two games due to an injury. Both scored in double figures in Kimberly’s wins over Oshkosh West and Appleton North last week.
Nolan Jakubek and Trevor Verhagen stepped up their scoring for the Little Chute Mustangs last week as both had double digit games against Freedom and Luxemburg-Casco.
KENOSHA -- The Kaukauna boys basketball team won its 10th consecutive game and 13th out of the last 14 games to improve to 17-3 with a 93-58 victory over Racine Case in the FVA/SEC Challenge at Kenosha Indian Trail High School. Racine Case’s record fell to 9-9.
APPLETON - Freshman Trenton Van Schyndel added his name to the list of current Kaukauna wrestlers with a conference title under their belt. The freshman had two pins as he was among Kaukauna’s six champions in their conference championship win at Appleton East.
